STORYBOOK FAQ

How is this jewelry produced?
All of our work is hand made. We are designers and perfectionists, so we give each piece great care.

How did you come up with the idea for these designs?
It's funny how ideas go in a full circle. The original idea for our bracelets came from an old Hopi story ring that Kathleen had many years ago. The images on the ring were interesting, but the story was not personally meaningful. Kathleen and I created a collection of story bands using images from fairy tales bringing the story telling tradition from one culture to another.

Have you won any awards or received any publicity for this collection?
Yes. QVC did a special show from The Winterthur Museum featuring the 10 best crafts people from Delaware. We were very proud to be among the "10 best" and thrilled at the national exposure our designs received. We also won a design award from Accent Magazine. The press responded warmly to this collection and we were written up in newspapers across the country -- papers as varied as The Dallas Morning News, The Boston Herald, Women's Wear Daily, and The Wilmington News Journal among others.
