More Amaryllis:
The
beautiful deep red flowering bulb to the left was bought from a Greek
woman, co-owner of a small pizza restaurant in Warren, Rhode Island. We
lived there briefly and couldn't resist this prize. To the right is a
flowering bulb we bought on our wedding day. Twenty years later, it and
many of its offspring are going strong in our garden in Montserrat. Our
pale pink and white variety has also demonstrated a survivor's spirit.
We took it as a friend's toss out after flowering. It has never disappointed
us.
